Probably the only way we don't go Expy EL Ecoboost for our next family hauler is if GM makes this truck!

I suspect that the only way we get to a 12k tow rating and proper hitch is if the Government starts towing 12k pound trailers while transporting the president.

I wondered how the Federal Government was going to survive without 2500 Suburbans. I thought it would be great to watch the president in a series of Black Prius with Blacked out windows.

Hopeful GM will, again offer the 2500 Sub to help continue the history of the
longest continual running automotive badge/model line in automotive history

'Suburban' is known world wide as to what it is and has always been
a puzzlement to me why GMC abandoned that for Yukon XL which is now
around 10 years old, IIRC

Yeah, know the area well...it's about 1 hour from where I live.

I'm not really questioning if the picture was taken up there, just questioning spied vs. staged...not that it really matters though. ๐Ÿ™‚

Dammit.

Just not a GM guy, but this would definitely make us kick the Expedition to the curb.

Hey Ford. Best hustle that new Excursion up!

GM already owns 75% of full size suv market. This would definitely bring that number higher.

Since even before that. As the rims that were on this truck went on a 1971 and this is my old 1989 with 04 8 lug GM rims on it.

Actually, it's a legit picture. It's taken in a hotel parking lot where GM always parks it's vehicle during high altitude testing in Silverthorne, CO. It's a back parking lot and that's as "hidden" as you can get in that area. How do I know? I work for a major big truck manufacturer and do the same type of test-driving in that area as well. When I was there earlier this summer, GM was testing several Holdens as well as the replacement for the TrailBlazer there for testing. Also a bunch of unmarked Buicks and a cool shop truck as well. The engineer I was with while doing my testing was a former GM engineer that did exactly what they were doing.

hahaha.

Love how the article says "spied"...if that truly is a spied picture from the Rockies. Notice how clean it is? Not even the tires/wheels show any dirt?

Spied? More like staged. But they're getting their publicity and it is interesting it is coming back.

are you sure about that ?

I thought GM has been using the same 8 bolt pattern for PUs and SUV's for years. That's why you can see a 1995 Suburban 2500 with those nice alloy 16" rims from a 3/4 ton 2005 Silverado.

The 2013 3/4t sub's use the wheels (and smae bolt pattern) from pre-2007 HD trucks.
