A request from your new mod

Hi. Maybe some of you have noticed but Reddog1 (Wayne) is no longer moderating the TC forum and I volunteered to step in. Full disclosure, I don't own a TC (motorhome) and my DW won't let me get a pickup truck (had a beautiful 67 GMC with the big V-6 years ago tho). Regardless I'll do my best to keep the discussions on track and civil.

One request: when posting pics, keep them under 640X480 resolution. If you use the rv.net photo posting site here it automatically sizes the pics.

The issue is that some browsers hide the scroll bar in everything but full screen mode and large pics scroll the text off to the right where it's hard to read.

Thanx for your cooperation. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of your here.

No new ways. If you're referring to the size of the pics, it's a site wide issue and I receive several "notify the moderator" emails a week about picture size on the 2 forums I moderate. Most of the time, I'll just go ahead and change them myself, but when there's 10 pics in a post or I can't follow the link, I need to get the OP to do it or delete the post. I hate deleting post, but when moderating a forum makes me late for work (this has happened), I need to draw a line. Everyone's cooperation will make things go easier for all.

Welcome..

lol, I fear 'school is in session' again. Only question is, who's the student?? If it's you, learning about us, God help you. If it's us, being taught the new ways, well you're surrounded by old dogs.

Our regards and best wishes to Wayne.

Wait till you run into Torklift v/s HappyJack or Mamoth v/s Lance dispute :B
I think diesel disputes lost the impact, as new technology leaves no doubt on what was questioned before.
Still some will try..
Good luck in dealing with it.

I do TL components too, when HJ don't have the correct part....

I see I've discovered the Ford vs. Chevy and Gas vs. Diesel topic on the TC forum...

He can extract your DNA from the pixels in the pictures you post, and after that it's only a matter of time.

He's somewhere in MA.

Probably down the block from jplante4.

Keep a file with the description of the pictures and the link. I think you mean hobby. As far as your real info, you've probably given away too much already. As far as your real info, you've probably given away too much already.

No doubt on that.

Too many geezers, self appointed moderators, experts, and disappearing posts for me. Enjoy. How many times can the same thing be rehashed over and over?

Welcome and thank you. Our previous moderator did a great job setting the standard pretty high. I think this is the best forum on rv.net. A good example of this is the truck camper photo thread. If you look at it is is almost all pics. If you look at the photo thread in the other forums there is a lot of discussion instead of pics.
