Set up the Camper at the local campground and was checking the propane and look what I found.

Camper is less than 3 months old.

Guess I’ll be adding a new pigtail as the gas to pull the trailer to the dealer is more than the pigtail.

Anyone ever experienced this?

Thanks!

As others have said. Looks to me like something hit it. Vandalism maybe?

Marshall Excelsior 2020 RV LP catalog

This catalog is quite useful as it has lots of good information in it in addition to being a catalog.

That's damaged, not a failure.

No need to rush out to replace it - the pigtail from the other tank should reach if you run that tank empty.

I didn't know you can have these made locally. I'll check into it.

Thanks!

Buy pigtails made by Marshall Excelsior. They will be USA made, including the hose. I buy the steel braided version. You probably have the hose with the reverse flare on the regulator end, and probably 15 inch.

Thanks everyone, these are BRAND NEW. It’s a 2020 and always under a cover. As a matter of fact, this was fine two weeks ago when we last camped. Just funny.

Keep out of sun, wrap with tape or aluminum foil.
Remove stress on hose from sharp bend if possible.
If you can't bend the hose to put it on the tank easily, it's too sharp a bend.

It looks to me like those plastic fittings are exposed to sun and air all the time. It is plausible that they get brittle with age and just broke. Would probably benefit from a cover to keep from drying out.

Agree on tightness. Hand tight, and that doesn't mean turn as hard as you can, and then turn a little more. The old thought of tight is good and tighter is better is not a good rule of thumb.
