Can someone give me a quick education on suspension air bags. ..i have a new gmc denali 3500 srw, sb, cc, duramax 4wd. I am within all specs re payload. ..11600 gvwr....8200 for trk incl everything leaving me 3400 payload...2800 pin for a fudge factor of 600...all confirmed on cat scales...would i benefit from air bags and can they be installed on my tv...thx..bo

I like to keep the bed at unloaded height and the bags are terrific for smoothing out rough roads. I went further on my dually and cut off the ends of the bottom OLs cuz I have the bags to cover the payload. Cutting off those OLs did wonders for the ride! Craig

I guess you don't need them but I could tell a big difference in the ride with Air Bags against when I didn't have them. That alone makes them nice to have.

Air bags just help you level the load. Hitch up and see how much the rear end sags. Measure from top of rear tire to fender both unhitched and hitched. If the rear sags more than you like then you can consider air bags to level. They do not add any capacity to RAWR, just help level your truck.

What are your front and rear fender heights when hooked up? Back lower than front?

I pull a similar GVWR with the same truck in a 2500HD and sit damn near level and don't feel I "need" bags. I would think with the extra leaf you are fine.

They are generally suggested to be used to reduce rear end sag. If you don't have that issue, I wouldn't worry about using or installing them.
