Any 2012 RAM 1500 OWNERS???

Have a 2012 ram 1500, and thought i had those running lights, the headlights that stay on low whenever the truck is started but now not really sure. I see they are not on now when the truck is started but not really sure if i ever had them to begin with.
does anyone have a 2012 ram that might know if they should light up or that was never a feature on the 2012's..
if never a feature on that year i don't have to worry but if they should light up i will have to get them checked.

My 2013 does not have DRL....it does have the automatic light feature, all lights come on in cloudy weather or rain.

^^ this is the answer. pay a tuner, pay your dealer ... for whatever reason, Ram doesn't factory program DRL unless Canadian.

if you have a dealer do it, you get your low beams set as the DRL, if you have a tuner do it, you can also elect to use the high beams, or driving/fog lights

It is an option in the US and a requirement for Canadian vehicles. Pull out the bulbs and have a look. Make sure they are not burnt out. It used to be the high beam headlights where reduced to 30% for daytime running lights but with the new trucks they have various types of drl's including led. Do you still have the build sheet for the truck?

yes, i did check when in gear also when we were facing a store window yesterday and pulling away, and still no lights. so not really sure now if i even had them.... i called a couple ram dealers service dept and none could tell me for sure... one dealer thought maybe it was a option but not really sure.

I don't know how you are checking it. But on my Ford it must be in gear to come on. They will not be on just sitting there running.

I have that same truck and it has the daytime running lights.It is a Canadian version as I believe that has been a requirement in Canada for many years.
