Arctic Fox Mattress Replacement

Our mattress in our Arcticfox 1150 is wearing out. We went to replace it and discovered its an odd size. 58" wide instead of 60" like a standard Queen. I'm curious what some of you have done and looking for some recommendations. The current mattress is sinking in the middle and I need to get this replaced hopefully before our long 10 day trip in a week.

We bought an RV sized Queen mattress from Lastingimpressionsfoam.com for our 5th wheel. It matriculated to the Arctic Fox 992 when we traded the trailer for the camper. Even though the AF992 has a full size queen mattress the old still works, there is just a 4" gap down at the foot area which is convenient for storing a few things. At 6' tall, I still have plenty of length on the mattress and it is just like sleeping at home(where we also have the same companies mattress).

I went with OEM thickness and left the memory foam cover off the new (memory foam) mattress :).

I did add a reflective insulation barrier down first, then this breathable mess layer that is about 1/4" thick (designed to be used for vapor barrier between stucco walls and plywood), than mattress. I figured it can't hurt if air can pass under the mattress.

Here is what I put in my wolf Creek 840. not sure if my mattress was odd size or not, but this one went in and we love it.

We also have a memory foam at home so moving between home and camper is easy. than our daughter moved into her own apartment and we got her one of these.

They come folded up in a box. we opened the mattress box on the camper bed, aimed it and let it inflate.

I used a full size mattress. Lots of room to spare, and much easier to make up because of that.

Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.

I have seen local mattress sellers that advertise RV style queens for sale. Could be worth calling around.

Mine was the same..I convinced her since most have a 90-120 money back trial.

She had shoulder pain from on old injury and...it went mostly away after a few weeks. Gotta give them a fair shake...10 days to adjust before you pass judgement!

I like this idea, I may have some convincing with the wife though. She says she doesn't like the memory foam mattresses. Geez.

Yes I have, its 59.5" wide x 80" Long.

If its that close I would go measure some standard non pillowtop queen mattresses.

Mine was close so I used those guys that advertise buy before one and we will remove and take away your old mattress and install your new one for free. I had them stuff it into the tc door and wedge it into the cabover for me.

have you actually measured the footprint of where your mattress sits. There may be enough room to stuff a regular mattress in there. We did that with the Lance, I put in a posturepedic queen, I do have to pull up the corners to tuck the fitted sheet in place but the good nights is more than worth it.
