I was never really thinking at all about having a backup camera. Then we purchased our new 2010 Ford truck which had all of these fancy items already installed.
I have to admit that the backup camera on my F150 is the greatest thing ever including the steps mounted inside the tail gate.
My FORD OEM tailgate mounted camera is perfect for showing the trailer hitch slide right over the hitch ball. First time every time.
I don't know how I ever got along without one haha...
My camera also has the built-in foot markers which gives off beeps which get closer together the closer you get to an object. Then within the last foot marker the beep is a steady tone.
The only problem I have is at night where light sources it picks up seem to flare out on your camera screen. In the daytime however it is perfect for us in hooking up to the trailer...
