Back up camera. Are you happy with yours?

I am looking to get a back up camera. Hopping in and out to hook up is getting old. A spotter is not always available.
What brand did you buy and was it worth the money? What made You decide on this one?

I just need one to get my ball in position, quick and simple. i don't need sound to hear the screams. TPMS would be nice and a lazer guided temp aimed at the bearings.

I have a completely new audio system from Pioneer with a touch screen. Had the local audio shop also install the license plate backup camera that is adjusted (by him) very well. The camera is set to reverse image so what you see in the mirrors is the same display and not reverse. It was a learning experience on hitching up to the bumper mount TT stinger. I like the safety factor when making the coupler, DW does not have to stand in that area at all ( which drove me nuts telling her not to stand between the tuck bumper and the A frame). I know somebody that got a factory camera on a new Chevey truck that is at the gate handle and he does not like the higher angle. I'am totally satisfied with this type camera. It also comes in very handy when traveling and going to restaurants and such whe the parking is limited and I need to back the truck into a space or out of a space.

We went the ebay route for a wireless model and were not that impressed. We dont blame ebay, more the wireless technology. We ended up with this wired unit. This particular model even has a microphone so you can hear whats happenning back there. Really neat when your backing into a tight spot.

Purchased a complete system off ebay several years ago, wouldnt be without it now. I have an enclosed body truck so visibility to the rear is limited. Its a hardwired system with three cameras, one on the inside of the truck box, one on the rear of the truck, and one on the rear of the trailer.

I have an IBall portable, am very pleased with it.As I mentioned on previous postings.Along with hooking up, it has aided me in backing in and out of tight spots by attaching the camera to the rear of the TT.

I bought a double din Jvc multi miedia deck and a $30 camera from sonic electronix for my 2001 f150. Required some mods to install deck then I wired the camera to the backup light so it only powers up in reverse and wired the deck reverse sense wire to the same back up circuit up front. the camera automatically switches when I put it in reverse then back to normal in drive works great. I think the total cost was $300.00 delivered.

I now own a truck with a built in camera. Prior to that, I used the Swift Hitch. Loved it. The camera itself has night vision, which is a plus. Additionally, the camera has a strong magnet so I could use it on the back of my trailer when I had to back it into my very tight side yard without a spotter.

I was never really thinking at all about having a backup camera. Then we purchased our new 2010 Ford truck which had all of these fancy items already installed.

I have to admit that the backup camera on my F150 is the greatest thing ever including the steps mounted inside the tail gate.

My FORD OEM tailgate mounted camera is perfect for showing the trailer hitch slide right over the hitch ball. First time every time.

I don't know how I ever got along without one haha...

My camera also has the built-in foot markers which gives off beeps which get closer together the closer you get to an object. Then within the last foot marker the beep is a steady tone.

The only problem I have is at night where light sources it picks up seem to flare out on your camera screen. In the daytime however it is perfect for us in hooking up to the trailer...
