Can I borrow your Motorhome?

I have come to the realization that nobody will care for your motorhome like you do. Friends and family just don't seem to get it. Shoes on the furniture, being ruff in general, flushing a tampon down the macerating toilet, etc... I think they see the coach as a toy? Maybe they relate it to a hotel room. The last thing you do at a hotel is care about taking care of the room. Maybe they just see it as a party? I have even had friends say can I borrow it? Can me and my family take it to Burning man? They don't seem to understand the No answer. The exception here is other coach owners. They get it.

Exactly! How long did it take you to learn how to use it properly? Months, years? Heck, I'm still learning! LOL

No way would I lend mine. I haven't been asked ever...possibly because of the way they see me care and treat it. I think they realize.

My policy is not to anything to a person unless you are ready to give it to him or have extreme confidence in his willingness and ability to repair damage. Even then, on something a complex as a motorhome there is no way that you can explain the proper operation of everything without spending a week in it together.

Anyone that asks to borrow anything usually doesn’t comprehend how much the thing costs. If they did they wouldn’t ask or would own one already.

I would say sure no problem, just leave a deposit for Replacement cost of the RV. Any damage you own it. I don't think they will ask to borrow it again.

This is why a towable is a lower stress decision. They can't ride in it. So,usually a visitor and they leave sooner. That being said our all metal toyhauler is very forgiving. No5 much to hurt....
