I think the truck I have (that has been hacked on) has had the rear suspension monkeyed with. I need a picture of a stock rear axle/leaf spring/U bolt area from a similar truck. I think the spacer blocks have been moved to on top of the axle (in effect lowering the truck), and I think they should be under it (which would raise the rear end). The front jounce bumpers have been hacked too. I have replacements for those already. It's an 06 Chevy 1500 4x4.

I'll bet a case of Pilsner... that those "spacers" will have a groove meant for the "U" in the u-bolt. If I had me camera I'd post picture of next doors chebbie, looks the same... can't see in your picture, but how's the arch in those springs? Possibly the spring pack hangers have been modified?

As for the front... perhaps the previous owner changed the torsion bar key setting or even added a lower torsion bar "key"?

I'll have to check on the front keys...or maybe the tensioning bolts have been backed out.

Yup, flop the spacer block back to where it should be. Truck is riding on the Timbrens now.
If you want to keep the Timbrens doing more work after the spring flip, you can shim them down with washers and use a longer bolt. They're "adjustable" like this when new.

That thing has To ride like sh_t empty right now. Give new meaning to solid axle.

I think what you have there are Timbrens.also the spacer block should be between the spring & axel. Not on top of the spring

Here's the rear the way it is now...

Here's the front where the jounce bumper has been hacked in half, I think in an effort to act as a redneck lowering kit.

I want to restore it to factory ride height, because, as you can see in the first photo, it sits on the rear bump stops with just the little 17' Jayco hybrid hitched up (as it was when I took these pics).
