Where do you folks carry your generator and gas can while in motion? Do you carry them secured in the bed of the truck and then carry the generator over to the trailer connector after you set up? Do you leave them on the truck/tow vehicle and run a line to the generator? Do you carry them in the trailer? How do you ensure your generator is not stolen and locked down?
Looking for ideas of how to maneuver this new to me task.
We carry it in the trailer. As we tend to camp in the middle of nowhere, we've never locked it up. It has been tossed into the back of the truck a couple of times though once the boat's been taken out.
My TV is a SUV, so the generator does not ride in the vehicle.
I have an extendable platform off the back of my TT. I use a cable lock to keep the honest folks honest.
I've only camped with it once so far (still a new-to-me thing), and in that CG I set it up behind my TV and used the cable lock running to the safety chain hook-up spots.

I have a wood platform in the truck bed that the generator is chained and bolted to. In addition I have a wood box that covers it and is locked down. The wood cover is power ventilated and the generator stays put when I use it. And when not in use I cover it all with a tarp.

Generator, covered with upside down tote, in the rear left in the bed, chained to truck and can in the bed also. Leave generator put as the trailer cord will reach.
Mine is in the truck bed behind the cab when we travel. It is secured with a thick cable and lock. When we are home it is in the garage. As I have heard many times, if they really want it, they're going to get it.
