Cover for the winter.

Simple question and this is for all of you folks living in a snowy area:
Do you cover your hybrid in the winter, and if so, what is your preference of cover!

Thanks

Interesting reading all theresponses. We camp almost year round so got a metal canopy. Prior to that I got a thick silver/gray tarp from Harbor Freight and hung milk jugs of water on the eyelets. This eliminated wind flap and the tarp held great for a full two seasons. I did try the actual RV covers but found a small tear spread quick and ruined the whole thing.

Years ago when we owned a popup I always stored it indoors and when we sold it after 6 yrs of heavy use it looked like new. We then moved to a hybrid which obviously wouldn't fit in my workshop so for the winter I protected it with an ADCO AquaShed cover.

When we traded it in after two winters it still looked like new. The travel trailer that replaced it saw 6 winters, protected with an ADCO Tyvek cover.

When we sold that trailer it again looked like new. Our current trailer has worn an ADCO Tyvek Designer series cover for 2 winters and is about to go into it's third.

As with those before it this trailer still looks new. Naysayers can say what they want, I personally wouldn't winter store any trailer that wasn't either wearing a breathable cover or was stored indoors. :B

live in WNY and only covered our first one. Tech once said, they are made to be outside...so i don't cover. Besides, I've used the oven to make other dishes for parties and Thanksgiving. It's much easier to get in when not covered.

We use the ADCO cover rated for snow conditions and leave the vent in the dinning area open year 'round, also under a MAXX AIR vent cover. I was surprised at how clean our rig was when uncovering in the spring. Always washed after last camping trip and before had to wash again in the spring. That alone was worth the cover to me.

We used to, when our camper was stored in an area quite sheltered from wind. At our current home, it's very windy, so we leave it uncovered. (It's also less snowy here than in our previous location.) We used an ADCO cover that was good for blocking moisture from the roof, but had breathable sides. When we covered it, we left the roof vents open (under MaxxAir vent "hoods") and also left one window cracked open slightly. That really helped minimize condensation inside. We still have the MaxxAirs and leave the vent open in the bathroom over the winter.

No, but use to, but not any more. We use the camper too much in the winter and when snow is on the roof, it makes it almost impossible to get the cover off, rolled up frozen and put away, let alone, trying to put the thing back on again when it's still frozen.

Not a hybrid, but yes, and an Adco Tyvek.
