Cracked Vinyl Floor. what to replace it with.

I have recently purchased a used 2009 jayco Jay flight 22fb from the original owner. He stored it outside last winter and the roll vinyl cracked all the way down the camper. I have looked on here as I assume there would have been tons of flooring threads but haven't found any good ones. What are people replacing the flooring with in these things? I fear 1 piece vinyl flooring would be extremely difficult to cut to size around all of the permanent furniture and fixtures.

I used the black Allure in my garage, I've spilt all kinds of stuff on it and haven't have a problem in 5-6 years.

It satnds up in my garage, so it'll stand up in a camper with no problems.

If I was doing it in my camper, Depending on how bad the original floor is, I would consider just going right over top of the sheet goods.

All I need is to figure some way to hide the slide joint and I would be getting rid of the carpet. We don't have carpet in our home any more and I don't miss it.

I saw a TT parked behind the dealer where we buy our carpeting for our house. Someone had bought flooring and they were installing it. I did not ask if they charged extra as the owners were buying such a small amount or if it was the same as when you carpet a room or not. I should have tried to get more details. Ask at carpet stores near you.

We've got 36 cartons of vinyl 6 x 36 stacked in my sewing room waiting for August to get here....flooring month. So excited to get this put down in the LR and DR. Has the look of an old pine.

We bought some of the early laminate that was supposedly "everything proof"....we have always had an assortment of rescue doggies and were in dire need of a re-do. They assured us that this was THE thing. NOT! Toenail scratches, puddles caused it to bubble up and after about 4 years we ripped it all up and went back to inexpensive carpet. When I started looking recently the man at Lowe's assured me that this vinyl was what I needed. He did his best sales job and gave me a sample to bring home to DH to look at. I jokingly (??) told him that if this was no better than the first, I was coming after him. We put the sample in a sink of water all day and not the first sign of any problem. No glue, just snap together. Think you made a good choice. Your job looks good. Is it possible to lift the toilet up just a bit to slide the flooring underneath?? That would be a stinker to cut. If push comes to shove, maybe you could fine some of the bendable quarter round to finish it.

How's the gas pricing in Williston?

Gas priced aren't very crazy, but housing is. Average apartments per bedroom are the highest in the nation. Overtaking beachfront property in Cali, and skyscraper apartments in NYC. But, the money is good, and its fun being out here while history is being made. And, for a first time camper, there is a lot of really cool campgrounds withing a couple hours radius. The one we have been frequenting is only 18 miles from our house, on lake sakakawea(Lewis and Clark SP)

My 1969 Avion camper has sheet vinyl in it and I replaced it with Armstrong quality sheet vinyl. The reason I went with sheet vinyl instead of pieced together flooring is that the sheet doesn't allow anything that is spilled on the floor to enter the cracks and ruin the wood beneath it.
The original vinyl looked really bad, but it protected the floor.

Something to consider,
TTs are built with seamless sheet vinyl installed on all of the floor before anything else Goes on. Walls, cabinents, vents, carpet etc.
The reason they do it this way as the Vinyl acts as a moisture barrier to keep the subfloor dry. ( It would be cheaper to not put it every where such as under the carpet)
This helps if there is a plumbing problem, spills or leaks etc.

I would try to seal up the original vinyl somehow, not worrying about looks, and then install a floating type floor over it.

I cut my Allure with tin snips and it cut very easily. Use straight on straight cuts and radius's with the red (rights) or the green (lefts). I tried the score and break and it was tough!

Looks real nice Joel. That's a big part of the fun of these campers....custom things that "make it your own".
