Digital Thermostat Install Question

I posted here b/c some of the archive posts I looked at were for very LARGE (physical housing) thermostats. I would like to keep the thermostat in the same location and none of the big ones will work.

Does anyone have a specific make/model they can recommend?

Requirements:

Can be used while boondocking
Small profile

It would be nice if it was programmable b/c I'd like to be able to program it to come on before I get out of bed LOL. But that's not necessary if it complicates things.

I only need it to run the furnace not the A/C.

Thanks! I tried to wade through the archives, but I only got confused..

Thanks everyone!

trail-explorer: This was the post I was looking for. I'd read it a while ago, but forgot to save it. And last night I forgot to limit the searches to the TC forum LOL. I had 86 posts to look through and most of them were over my head. The guys were talking about adding do-dads from RadioShack to make the fan variable...? And extra switches sticking out the sides for ????

Anyway, if DH is going to do this for me it needs to be simple b/c he's against removing anything that is working fine and replacing it just b/c I read it on RV.net 🙂

It's a 2013 Travel Lite 770R - the thermostat is located on the left of the sink and I have a storage rack under it I can't remove.

I have a pretty small space, too. I've been looking at this one. Not programmable, but does what I'd need it to do:

http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-Digital-T8775A1009-Non-Programmable-Heat-Only/dp/B000VDJYMQ
2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD, 4.5" BDS lift, BFG AT/KO2 285/65R20
Vision Hauler 19.5s and Toyo M608z 285/70R19.5 for camper duty
2016 Arctic Fox 990

Stars101,

Honeywell TH2110DH1002 PRO 2000 Horizontal Programmable Thermostats

I put this one in our AF. Picked it up at Lowes.
It works great for me but is slightly larger horizontally than the old one.

They have one that is oriented vertically also.

Honeywell TH2110DV1008 PRO 2000 Programmable, Vertical Thermostat

Either will be much better than the original that came with the camper.

Good luck.

Looks like Honeywell makes some tall, skinny t-stats.

What model/make is your camper? Curious of the size constraints...
