Discount Tire Sale on Maxxis!

Hello all,

I was planning to change the tires for my 2015 TT for Maxxis M8008 for my trip to Disney this winter. I missed out on the $100 off sale by 1 day last time so I was biding my time.

I tried every day during the Labor Day weekend but unfortunately no sale. Desperate to get the tires soon I resigned myself to paying the regular price and logged in to pay when, lo and behold, they were on sale! I paid $316 for 4 M8008 205/75 R14 DELIVERED!

It won't last long so click HERE to see the offer.

Enjoy!

I bought four Maxxis 6 months ago from Discount Tire with the coupon, and they were only 6 mos old.

If I am not mistaken, Discount Tire is the largest national seller of Maxxis trailer tires so I am not worried.

It may take me a month or so but I will update this thread with the info when I get them.

Make sure they are "fresh."
Have the seller send you the DOT manufacturer date.

That's the best way, just cross the border for a camping trip. I haven't used UPS since. Now if a company doesn't ship USPS/Canada Post, they won't get my order. With postal service, according our small post office, customs will only charge duty or taxes on about 1 in ten shipments or fewer, on items $100 or less.

How are they being shipped to Canada, the link shows shipping of $160 and shipping by UPS. The last two items that I've received from the US through UPS shipping, cost me an extra 80% +/-.
This was above the UPS shipping fees. UPS charged me for the duty, taxes and brokerage fees, plus HST on top of that. I paid $120 for the item, skylight, plus shipping. The UPS driver asked for another $95 before he would give me the package.

Let us know how you make out.

Ah, there's the rub. I ship them to Freeport, my freight forwarder in the US right after the Lacolle border crossing. They only charge me $12.00 CAD to receive and hold them. I pick up everything when we stay at Cumberland Head Beach for 2 days. The 5 of us can bring up to $4,000 CAD duty free every trip.

You can do the same by shipping to the US side of your closest border crossing. I'm sure there is a similar service on the US side of your border.

Discount Tire will also ship direct to Canada for free but will charge you the duties and taxes up front so you won't get screwed by UPS. It's an extra $160.00 USD but at least UPS can't charge you a penny more.

By the way, I was part of a successful class action lawsuit against UPS for their ******** 'brokerage' fees. I never used them again because they are disgusting low lifes for cross border shipping.

Unbelievable!

I wanted to buy an extra Maxxis tire for my spare and get their road hazard warranty so I called them. They gave me $25 off ONE TIRE and sold me the road hazard warranty for $12.50 a tire PLUS free shipping!!!!!

I ended up with 5 Maxxis tires for 25% off and a warranty. It's almost the same price as China bombs!
