Dry washing RV

Does anyone have any tricks to washing RV at a cg that does not allow washing on site?

Sooner or later it will rain. Why worry about a few bugs and dirt. As soon as you get it clean you'll hit the road and have to do it all over again..

I think that might be my only recourse, but when there are bugs and road grime you will need several bucket-changes before the wash is done. If I am doing the bucket thing I might as well do it at my storage facility. So much easier to use the hose to wet down and then to rinse though. 😞

I am thinking of getting this water bag for when I decide to start boondocking or camping at sites without water. I could also use that to bring the water to my storage site for washing the RV. :h

Cleaning your rig with a bucket and sponge does not hurt anybody and, in fact, makes the campground look better. It has never been discouraged or forbidden in my experience. I never hesitate to do if if needed, no matter what campground I'm in. I would also never ask permission to fill a bucket of water!

The Hotrodders on this forum are familiar with " Spray Detailer" .
MeGuiars' , Mother's , and all of the brands have it .
It is what is used at the " Show & Shine " displays in the park .
But these cars are already very clean before they get there .
It is readily available in spray bottles everywhere .
I bought a gallon of it from the MeGuiars' reps when they put on their detail clinic for our car club .
The gallons are not available everywhere but you can possibly find it by going to MeGuiars' website .
You will also need a fleet of microfiber towels from Costco .

Depends on how dirty. If it is just accumulated dust then I use a microfiber floor mop to dust. Any pesky items are removed with a spray bottle of quick detailer. Worse dirt from traveling in the rain I use a sponge mop and bucket of soaped gray water or ask for permission to fill the bucket. The blanket rule in all the cases I have experienced is in place to conserve water.

Use the bug cleaning type of window washer in a spray bottle and a squeegee.

Usually if you ask the owner they will allow you to use water with a bucket, it happened to us few times and then we cleaned only the lower parts of the trailer that get dirty more than the higher ones.
This ofcourse may not take care of a total wash ,but it is better than nothing.
