What is the best place online for shopping for general RV supplies. I'm looking for one of the big outdoor rugs to place under the awning.

Do you guys find that Camping World has competitive pricing?

Amazon or e-Bay. I've had great luck with both.

Big fan of E-Trailer. Have been getting anything from hitch balls to hitches with no issues. Have learned a lot from their videos also. Rarely have i found Camping World cheaper, and when i have the shipping costs eats the savings making it more expensive than the competition.

No. I almost never go to their site. For the really oddball stuff (like appliance repair parts and the like), I've found I like PPL Parts Store. They carry quite a lot.

I have always looked at Camping World like Cabalas and Bass Pro Shops. They may have an occasional good sale but they are not an “RV discount house”. If you need it, they will most likely have it, if you want it cheaper, shop the net.

I have stopped into their stores for things I wanted NOW; however, most of the time I surf the web. Camping World also has the advantage of on-site product installation and RV service. But as usual, service and convenience come at a price.

Some people can change TT break shoes other are reluctant to flip a circuit breaker. The RV market is designed to service all types.

Read my post about Etrailer...I was referred to the company that manufactures Reese. A good company...I have a Pro-Series WDH with SC.

Have you been happy w your hitch?

Yes, I have. It came used with my trailer. It is more hitch than I really need but I like it.

I am very impressed also with Etrailer.com and their willingness to help. A few months ago I need a handle for my WDH bars which I did not know what it looked liked. Their customer representative worked with me on finding what I really needed, even though they did not have it in stock. I was given a number to the company who manufactured the item. They helped me, told me how many they had in stock and then referred me back to Etrailer. I called the representative and told them the factory had an amount in stock, I then placed my order with them. I was notified when they received the part and then when it was shipped to me. I have never had a problem when dealing with them. I recently needed an fitting for my drain hose...looked at Camco then Amazon, Camping World...all prices about the same...I found it at another nearby Walmart. It pays to look around sometimes...my local Walmart does not stock very many RV related items but a new one a few miles down the road does.

I used Dyers RV for my awning fabric and support arms when they needed replacing. Great customer service, competitive pricing and I even got free shipping. http://www.dyersonline.com/

If you find that etrailer.com has competitive pricing on an item you're looking at, I would not hesitate ordering from etrailer.com. etrailer.com has excellent customer service, something you won't get the same level of service at other vendors even when going through Amazon.

I ordered a part from etrailer that was indicated on back-order(part also could not be found anywhere online) and etrailer emailed me every week with detailed status on what was happening with my back-order. They offered to have the ordered cancelled or I could leave the order open and they would continue to chase it down with the manufacturer. It ultimately took two months to get the part but I got is sooner than any other vendor indicated they had the part available. The two months time was not etrailer's fault but it gave me an appreciation for the dedication etrailer put forth for their customers.

I have been very impressed with etrailer over multiple orders placed with them... and I have no other connection with them other than being a consumer.
I love me some land yachting
