I recently bought a 2008 Eagle Cap 950. My batteries were not charging while plugged into shore power. After poking around I fond that the converter was not plugged in. The cord coming out of the converter has a standard 3 prong plug. There is no sign of an AC outlet anywhere under the sink near the converter. The only near by outlet is on the outside of the sink cabinet.

QUESTION: Where is your converter plugged in? Was the outlet on the outside of the sink cabinet once on the inside? Please Help!

Thanking you in advance.

Groupwise,
Glad you found the AC plug in on the back of the Power Distribution and Circuit Breaker box......I had my Converter/Charger come unplugged a couple years ago. It happened while I was fussing with wiring under the Step up to the Bedroom.....Nest thing I knew my batteries were dead. Took me a while, just like you to find the AC socket. made sure it was snugly plugged in and No problems since. I have increased the wire size gauge on all wiring under the step access area and I have soldered all terminal lugs under there as well....Reducing voltage drop on all 12 volt wiring is always a GOOD thing.

Now you need to make sure that it works....

Wonder why it was unplugged? Makes no sense to me.

Hmmm...sound to me like this is a "mod" by PO.

We have owned 5 different RV's...Never saw a charger/converter that wasn't hard wired...

Did you check the battery cutoff switch?

Check the back of the circuit breaker panel - there should be an AC outlet there which is typically where the Eagle Cap converter plugs into.
When I had my 2005 EC the converter plug had vibrated out of the outlet one time. Simple fix.

There is an eagle cap forum. Search eaglecap owners and you should find it. They have some good people on it that can help

Interesting, the converter for my Host is under the step. I'm not sure if it helps, but it is an outlet that is mostly out of place although it does have a outlet cover. You could try looking for something similar.
