Lot of people do lot of things in their lives not even trying to do a homework what makes more sense, than the other.
Sure it is easier to order pizza and watch TV, than make healthy and cheap dinner.
For me- being efficient is my life motto. At present time - planning transcontinental trip with my new dually, I am thinking what is the risk of leaving spare tire at home.
Not only about 100lb of dead weight less, but better weight distribution and handling.
I have double roadside assistance insurance BTW
