Extended range fuel tanks - who has one?

I'm looking into replacement fuel tanks. I'd like to hear from folks who have replaced the existing tank with a larger replacement. Since I haul a TC, can't use a bed tank like I did when I had a 5'er. Also don't want a spare tire replacement tank...I like having a spare.

Stock tank is 37 gallons. Fully loaded, depending on where I go, I get 10-11mpg. Usually, it's my arse saying it's time to stop and take a fuel break before my gauge says to. But sometimes, it would be nice to have a little extra range.

I've found three so far for my truck, these are the best prices I could find--.
-Titan 67 gallon, ABS plastic, $1409 free shpg
-Aerotanks Aluminized Steel, 60 gallon, $980 + $170shpg
-TransferFlow Aluminized Steel, 57 gallon $1185 free shpg

The Titan appears to be the most popular, but that doesn't mean it's the best.

Any thoughts?

Auxiliary fuel tanks--
If you want an auxiliary fuel tank, buy one! If you don't want one, don't buy one!!!! It is not that complicated!!! Why you buy or don't buy is each person's choice. It is not a democracy!!!

Unfortunately the OP did not state on what subject the thoughts should be on. So, by default they can be on any subject. If the OP chooses to do so, they can make a post for clarification.

At the risk of contradicting a moderator, the OP did say...

This thread is really turning into preaching 😄
I prize internet forums for giving wide spectrum of options and opinions on each subject.
You want straight answer >>>> google is your friend
No need to waste member's wisdom here.
I know those topics can turn moderator job into nightmare, but I hope he gets paid well.

When a member posts a question on the forum regarding which extended range fuel tank he should buy, I just assume he's gotten past the cost justification and added weight issues that go along with it. Beating those issues to death serves no purpose other than to satisfy a desire to give fatherly advice.

It seemed pretty clear to me that what he wanted our thoughts on was "which one should I buy", not "should I buy one".

Give it a rest, Dads. :W

I think maybe this thread is slipping sideways. I hope it will not be necessary for me to delete posts.

Isn't this what forum is about?
ESPECIALLY THIS ONE :B
Lot of people do lot of things in their lives not even trying to do a homework what makes more sense, than the other.
Sure it is easier to order pizza and watch TV, than make healthy and cheap dinner.
For me- being efficient is my life motto. At present time - planning transcontinental trip with my new dually, I am thinking what is the risk of leaving spare tire at home.
Not only about 100lb of dead weight less, but better weight distribution and handling.
I have double roadside assistance insurance BTW

Lol. I read your thread or post about the spare. I guess you got training wheels on your truck so you're actually carrying 2 spares anyway without the 3rd one underneath!

Ok. I'll put myself in timeout, but before I go, I'll say if I thought I may need 2 road side assistance plans I'd bring a spare tire. AAA don't carry tires.
And it's ok. Neither you nor your truck will be able to discern the extra effort required to carry a spare tire.

The OP asked about opinions on the 3 manufacturers he mentioned, he didn't ask weather someone felt an oversized tank was a good thing or bad thing.

I am disappointed that so many members are so sensitive. Sometimes it is okay for others to be of a different opinion. Let it go.
