hello TC-friends,
in life things changes....and now we changed our rig. I want to tell you: kids are growing, daughter with her 19 years prefers to do holidays together with her friends, - same happens to our son, who makes his own "agenda". So, more and more my wife and me will travel alone, sometimes with kids, but less and less often.
So we decided to change to a smaller rig, which would produce less problems here in small european villages and parking slots.......
With tears in the eyes we sold our Dodge Ram and our nice Adventurer 810WS, which we used during 8 years. So, during all these years our kids were "growing up" in the camper ๐Ÿ™‚
Our new truck is a Nissan Frontier (here called "Navara", because it is produced in Spain). It's a 2007 model with 171HP Diesel engine, and very important: conforming to european emmission standards. The TC (made in 2001) is manufactured by the Italian "TrendUP" Company: TrendUp-Camper .
The great advantage is that the cabin consists 100% of glass fiber walls, so we get a very good isolation coefficient and we must not worry about rotten wood.......
All in all we are very happy, because we feel very cosy inside the camper. Important for us was a wet WC + shower room.
Here are some photos, hope you like them.

BTW: Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to all !! ๐Ÿ™‚

(and yes, we are able to bent so much to use the toilet-... ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ )

next projects (just i work): to take away the colored dots, to paint the blue corners into grey, to change the cushions, to install nice sound equipment and so far....

flaxi,
1. Form follows function. Check.
2. Time marches on and waits for no man. Check.
3. Some very good ideas incorporated into your 'new' camper. Check.

Nice purchase Flaxi. Sweet little camper. I can only imagine how much of a pain it would be to drive a full-sized US truck/TC combo in Europe. I've only been there once (to Switzerland) and was happy to be riding public transit or taxi entirely. This rig will undoubtedly be less stressful to drive, and much less limited as well. Have fun, congrats, and Merry Christmas!

PS: My first thought was "sweet....but goofy polka dots" and I guess you concurred. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice rig. Too bad some of those space saving features aren't available here.

Das ist sehr schรถn!!!!
Nice to hear from you again!! Big bed, nice wood, toilet. Very well equipped. We dont mind a smaller camper because we spend most of our time outside anyway. Best wishes to you!! Frank.

Felix,

Schรถne Feiertage! What a great looking TC combo..... hard to believe it is 10 years old, and the construction looks very robust. I'm sure you and the wife will be very comfortable in your highly maneuverable truck as you explore your surroundings. Best wishes and enjoy!

Richie, as I know: all panels are complete foam with solid fiber glass coat outside and inside, no frame. The cabin is absolutely tough and solid.
Yes the camper lokks new, although 10 years old. It was a BARGAIN..., if I tell the Price you wouldn't believe. A cabin like this would normally cost about 20.000 bucks, I paid much less........ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

The camper looks brand new - very good condition.
A good purchase for you, no?
And much more comfortable to drive in Europe?

The mystery for me is how it is made.
Does the camper have a frame construction? Or is it all panels that are fastened together at the corners?

thanks at all for the comments.
Yes, most dots are already removed, remaining some light spots, but not really dramatic.
@Wayne: ok, I will do ๐Ÿ˜‰

They showed another Italian Camper called the Mondo Musica at the last Sydney Caravan and Camping show. Nicely finished but not that many people looked at it.

yes, before we took a lot of stuff we never used.....Now we will reduce all the needless baggage.
The total (wet) weight incl. 50 liters of water = 690kg, proofed !
The shown photos are made during our transport trip from Italy and all the fixation was provisional. I have to put a wooden board (probably hard foam boards) underneath the camper, so that the distance to the roof will be a bit larger.
Steve, the consumption of the D40 is very high. I was aware of this when buying the truck, (automatic tranny !!!) It will be around 11,5l/100km, with camper on top about 15l. Not much less than my old Ram...hahaha...
On the other side the D40 allows a payload of about 1000kg, the max. weight is 3450kg, possible with airsprings !
The furnitures are made of Plywood with wooden decor, I suppose Melamine coating.
