Full tank of Propane=How many days of usage?

Can you tell me how many days you can get out of a full tank of propane? Our camper is a 17C Jayco HTT and there are 3 of us camping. We used the propane for about 6 days over spring break, only at night and mainly to get the chill out. We are headed to Grand Haven State Park which is right on Lake Michigan and the forcast is calling for some cold nights ahead. Thanks in advance and safe travels this holiday weekend.

@PapPappy, we picked up our camper from the dealership and hit the road for a week. So, I'm assuming it was a full 20# tank.

This is what we got.....20# tank, 3 people in a ROO 23SS....5-6 nights of running the furnace at about 72 degrees plus or minus, using the oven at least once daily, using the stove top every day. We left home with 2 full tanks and DH swithched it over the last night needing the furnace, "just in case". We still had a small amount left...probably could have made it that last night.l

I have seen, think it was CW, some sort of temp sensor that sticks on the side of the tank to tell you what your propane level is. I have no idea if they actually work, but they're around $6 or so each.

Generally, not having to use the furnace daily, we fill both tanks at the first of the season and rarely have to swap to the other tank. We use the oven almost daily and the stove top from time to time. Furnace in the earlier spring weather and in the fall.

I would think in your size camper, you should get at least that usage if not better.

Hmmm....I think we better get another tank. Is there a gauge out there that I am not aware of or have you just figured it out from trial and error?

Unanswerable question. It's akin to "I got a full tank of gasoline, how far can I go?"

To many variables....
When you used it last time, how much did you have to add to fill the tank again?
I'm guessing you are talking the 20# bottles, not the fixed tanks we have on the MH.

Some people can make a tank last a few weeks....some a weekend.
If you are worried, and don't plan to be near a refill station, you may want to just pick-up a spare bottle, to bring it along....just in case:)
