Hey Buzz, from your old house on summit could you hear the shooting range that is nearby?

yeah we were only a couple of miles from the Los Altos Rod and Gun Club but just like anything you tune it out, besides they were there long before we moved in. Be like moving near an airport then complaining about how noisy the jets are. I am not that guy.

Buzz...I've ridden the steam train and the beach train many times...just not this trip. Fun for sure. Well worth the time and a great lesson in history and preservation of authentic steam powered locomotives.

I rode my horse through there doing the Fireworks 25/50 endurance ride in 05. Great place, I used to live on the summit next to Castle Rock State Park up at the top of Highway 9 at highway 35. I take it you rode the steam train while there (or you should have). Thanks for bringing back the memories

Two Hands here's some scenery pics from the Pipeline/San Lorenzo River trail.
A short 2.5 mile hike round trip down to the river and on to Roaring Camp Railroads through some of the most beautiful, dense redwood forests you'll ever see.

We have never been there so we were hoping for pictures of the scenery.
