I used to haul more than that in my Radio Flyer wagon back when I was a kid.

Half ton pickup that isn’t rated to carry a half ton. That’s why I didn’t consider a RAM this time.

Lol my VW Golf wagon and my wife's Kia have it beat, although neither one would be much of a tow vehicle....

I think my Hyundai Tucson has more payload. But, that’s a Ram for ya!

I used to put more than that in a Chrysler Newport and still tow a good sized trailer. We didn't worry so much about ratings back then.

Lol, just tell the owner to pump up the tires and he'll be fine. 32psi, hahaha, that's what I run in the winter for better traction.

If that sticker doesn't prove to the weight cops that the payload stickers are totally useless, nothing will.
Too bad in reality it'll have them screaming see we told you, you should have bought a 1 ton!
Totally agree!

It's too bad we didn't get to see the other sticker too.

The payload on my new 2019 Honda Ridgeline is 1,577#... and yet it has a towing capacity of just 5,000#. This with 18" wheels and AWD.... but it's not a truck or so some folks tell me. Maybe that's becaise it also has a 7+ cubic foot trunk beneath the bed. Oh did I mention that it rides as smooth as an Accord?

LMAO!

I've see that low many times when getting my oil changed and kicking tires at the local Ram dealer. Pretty sad. Most that buy have no clue it's that low or even care for that matter.

All options? Doubt this is for towing. Max load is probably a new BBQ from Lowes.

The current tires handle 2535 lbs each but I don’t know the semi-floating axle rating.

Bet there's configurations of all the Detroit 3 half tons that come up 'light' on payload.

All that's left now is for some enterprising attorney to come along with the class action suit, kinda like the flat screen TV class action years ago.:B

From a legal stand point, what is stopping him from loading it past the tire load sticker? Especially if he replaced those stock tires and wheels with a higher higher load rating and 32 psi max pressure. That is sticker is only for the stock tires and is useless if he changes them.

Not sure I've seen one that low on a PU.
