How do you get to your spare tire with the camper on?

I have the spare mounted on the front of my 2000 Dodge, but now with a new F350 I would prefer not to do that. Anyone have any suggestions as to how you are able to crank down the spare? Thanks, Pat

^This. (I can reach mine because the camper doesn't drop down behind the truck bed), but if you're (the OP) worried about having so many flats that raising / unloading the camper is prohibitive, address that problem first.
Agree, some folks have worse "luck" than others with tires, but if you're that person, make sure your bad luck isn't partially self inflicted.

Otherwise rotate the crank to the wheel well if possible.
If using the OE Jack from the truck, I'd prefer having the camper off if changing a back tire anyways. Bottle jack or front tire, differnet story.

I went to the auto wrecker and bought for $20 a second set of hand crack tubes and pouch. Now I havenโ€™t had to use because of of a flat, however I have tested it and it works great even with the camper on the truck.

The tool fits with the camper on but I have to use a wrench or ratchet to turn it.

I do believe the op is talking about a truck camper as that is the forum he is on. I could be wrong.

I have had the same experience with my Igloo and Ram 2010 and Ram 2018. Worst case for another camper, you would need to jack up the camper by a few inches.

Not sure what you have for a camper but with my Northstar Igloo I can drop the spare with the camper on the truck no problem. I have tried just to make sure. The Igloo doesn't hang low enough to interfere with the access hole for the spare.

On our 01 I rotated the hoist assembly to point at right wheel well.

You can rotate the mount 90 degrees and access it from the wheel well. At most, I'd have to lower my jacks.
