Sold the 5th wheel & just bought a new to me 2014 Lance 825. Taking it up Kolob Terrace Rd North of Zion NP for our first trip this coming weekend. Definitely a different feel than pulling the 5th wheel. (I don't post often but thought I'd say hello since I'm now lurking here instead of the 5th wheel forum. 🙂

There is no such thing as a Dark Side. I had a 95 Lance 935 on a 99 3500, a 32 holidays rambler that worked well for a 5th wheel and now a 40 Allegro Bus that is about as nice as anyone needs. I just sold my Lance and if I had a bigger barn it would still be here. We loved TCing and it is the RV for Alaska. We will have another TC if we do an other Alaska trip. Never sell your TCs until you spend at least three months in the way north west. Every RV has a purpose and most make owners very happy. Our daughter own a big toy hauler and a new 385 HP 3500 four door that I wish I had when we were TCing. I got a call last from a Bigfoot owner that is ordering a new Ram and he is thinking of going cab&chassis with a aluminum flat bed. I told him to go for it. He has always owned sticks but now going with the Asien. I drove my daughters and from what I noticed I think that is a great choice. I miss my Lance but love my Bus so enjoy RVing. Rob

I guess I just don't have any idea what the term "DARK SIDE" means and what that would have to do with RV'ers.

I do know there are RV CAMPERS and RV TRAVELERS... There are some RV CAMPERS that live in the small van's and like to do what they call STEALTH MODE and live in plain view places without paying anything...

We like to think we belong to the RV CAMPING world. Our best times are camping out for a week or so on a creek bed somewhere way back off the power grid. Just like we did back in the Arizona JEEP DAYS and tent camping...

I just keep seeing reference to the "DARK SIDE" and have no idea what they are talking about. Must be a younger generation thing...

Nothing against N. Dakota...just never made it there......yet. Missed Rhode Island as well. Oh, & Hawaii too.

"Dark side" all depends on ur point of view 😉

Didn't know about the truck camper rally, will check with the DW & see if it's doable for us....Thx!

Ok - I will ask.... What does "Coming over to the DARK SIDE mean"

I never migrated from my OFF-ROAD POPUP TRAILER... What side is that on?

Welcome to TC's. Did you know there will be a Rally in late July with about 50 of them attending?
