Wow just saw an article on the 2018 Ford Expedition.

That is insane!!! We had a 2000 Excursion with the V10. It was rated at 310hp and 425 torque. The new Expedition would sure put that to shame. Wish they would offer a heavy duty version like they do the F150. A heavy duty Expedition EL 400hp and 480 torque, OH MY!!!

There are a few dealers selling them to the public. They have to buy them in lots of 5, so only giant fleet dealer do it. But the real kicker is the puny 3,000 pound towing capacity.

I might be wrong but I believe that the current Expedition has a higher payload rating then the Tahoe/Yukon, which is not very much.

I was a little worried that Ford had abandoned the field to Tahoe/Yukon. This is good news. Competition will improve the entire market.

I agree completely. Which is why I still have my X. Can't afford $70k for a new one. And a '16 Excursion conversion at near $100k is out of my range!

Looks like a bulked up Explorer. I agree they should add a HD payload pkg and a max tow version. that would get a lot of people out of their old Excursions and into new Fords!

Powertrian has not been the limit for RV towing in 10 years. Will the receiver still have under 1000 pound TW limit? Will any 4WD/AWD model have more than 1500 pounds of payload?

Looks nice. Agreed that they need a max tow version. But i like it. Not a fan of the eb engines, but that's just my preference. Can't argue with the power they make

Right on par with the 6.2 in the Denali and Escalade - 420/460 (which has also proven to be historically superior in MPG).

Ford's F150 has pushed the envelope for advancements in trucks. It is about time they gave some love to the full size SUV market. Competition is good.
