Labor Day weekend

Enjoyed Labor Day weekend at Rainbow Springs SP. Made my reservations far so in advance my daughter could join us. AH! A nice warm 90's Florida summer.

Living in Milwaukee and having thousands of Harleys in town, we were happy to get away from the crowds there and enjoy the peace of a wooded camping site just an hour away for Labor Day weekend.

Spent Labor Day weekend at a group outing at Fawn campground on Trinity lake. Great time was had by all in spite of low water levels. Now back at my normal site on lovely (& full) Trinity River plus also full Lewiston Lake.

Update: We had a great weekend at Punderson with the only rain coming late sunday night. The weather was great and we had a good time on the lake. I feel sorry for those that missed a great weekend.

Unfortunately, this is one of the few weekends we were able to get out. Last time we went was Memorial day weekend. We certainly don't get out as often as we'd like to anymore. That's one of the main reasons we sold our TT and went back to a PUP. Oh well, we'll have plenty of frosty beverages on hand to help with the heat! Have a safe weekend all!

I only wish I weren't laboring on Labor Day but my place of employment actually works Labor Day. They make up for it with usually giving us about 11 contiguous days off around Christmas/New Years.

I am one who avoids the major holidays. I go camp to get way from people and all the noise. Don't care about the rain or sun but this past weeks high heat and humidity up here kept me home.

Heading out as soon a DW gets home from work but we will be camping here in our neck of the woods at nearly 8K elevation with temps peaking in the 70s. Happy Camping!!!

Have to work due to inventory on Tuesday but will head out on the sixth for a three day weekend in the Talladega National Forest. It will be hot also but campground will probably be empty so we'll have the perfect spot and an empty lake to ourselves. Have fun and be safe this weekend.

Wah. What a bunch of weenies. I Will be at Punderson State Park enjoying the water sports. I suppose you guys only camp when the sun shines also.

Holidays are too crowded at most places and traffic can be too stressful. Gave up camping on holidays a few years back. I realize that some folks use it as an extended weekend off from work and go camping as I used to, but since I don't work anymore, I go when I want to. Good luck with the heat.

We are heading out Wed. after Labor day. It will be cooler and the lake not as crowed.
