Looking for an IPAD Mount

I have one of the older Ipad 2's (Full size Ipad) and I am looking for a good mount to use with it in my 08' Silverado 1500. The plan is to use it as a large screen GPS unit tethered to my/my wifes phone.

I'm looking for a sturdy mount for this since the Ipad has some heft to it.

The other option might be a smaller 7in Kindle but I'm not sure it would be as good for GPS use and I'm not sure how good the APPS for navigation are.

Thoughts?

Doesn't affect it at all. you can even play CDs at the same time.

x2 on the Ram mounts. I use them in my cars and on my motorcycle. Several of the police departments around me use them in their vehicles to hold all kinds of stuff.

Got a CD player? I bought a phone/tablet mount that goes in the CD slot. Look on Amazon. I've used the mount with an iPad mini and an iPhone. My new truck doesn't have a CD player so I'm looking for an alternative.

Check out Ram mounts (no relation to the truck brand). They are super sturdy and high quality. I got one when I got a bigger smart phone and was sick of it bouncing around. I've been using it for a couple years now and it's still as rock solid as the day I got it.
