Thank you everyone for all the replies to ALL my questions. We have narrowed our search down to 2 F150 6.2l lariats.

Vehicle 1

Vehicle 2

Again thanks for the help and being patient with us during this process. Hope to be able to post pictures of our new vehicle.

While its not my purchase decision obviously, I would also get an F250 with a 6.2L. Even if it takes longer to find one. You obviously hang on to a vehicle for a while, so if you would decide to upgrade trailers the F250 would give you many more options and it would not be working on the ragged edge like a F150 would be with the current trailer. About the only downside would be less ride quality, in the F250. If your going to be feeding a 6.2L anyway you might as well put it in a more capable tow package like the F250.

$2500 for in dash nav? Ford is insane

True but look at all the paper that is being saved by not buying maps. ๐Ÿ˜„

My Droid gets me where I need to go. I have a co-navigator in the passenger seat that runs it:)

I'm also fortunate enough to have a son that works for Garmin that can get me anything for 45% off MSRP. Still haven't really felt the need to have Nav in a vehicle. They're cool but I just don't want to have to learn how to use another electronic thing at 60.

Even at full retail a lot cheaper than $2,500!

If you are buying used, keep looking better to get a F250, towing experience would be better.

According to my local Ford dealer, try are now taking orders for 2014 models. He said not a lot is changing for this model year. He said it should take 6-8 weeks to get them in. Something to think about

If you're frugal then why not go for an XLT? Might open up more options.
