Looking at buying a new travel trailer. Looking at a Keystone Cougar 28RLS and a Coachmen Apex 279RLSS. Anybody had any experience with either model?

We bought an Apex 279RLSS about six weeks ago but it's cold here in Pennsylvania so it hasn't left the back yard. We liked the floor plan and the weight. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I have an Outback 298RE (Keystone) which is probably the same as the Cougar. A 2010 model, towed close to 40,000 miles. Other than coming with what I believe were under rated tires, it has been a very good unit. I have had no major problems with it, and the small ones were taken care of under warranty. The appliances have held up well and so has the carpet and other interior finishes. I wax it twice a year so the exterior finish still looks good. It still serves us well and will be getting a lot more use come spring. Good luck with your shopping!

You might get more and better feedback on the forums for the respective manufacturers. On a general forum like this one with so many brands and models available, your odds of finding someone with experience with a specific model are much lower.
