Tom's Camperland sent me a email that the camper came in today. I plan on leaving next week to go pick it up. More pictures to come.

I wasn't a fan of the fireplace initially but with a digital thermostat, it does a much better job of regulating the temperature than a small space heater. No more getting up in the middle of the night to adjust the thermostat. I still think they could have installed something with a smaller footprint without the fireplace look, but you can't have everything you want.

Wow. That's a hell of a camper. Congrats.

The camper floor sits above the truck bed rails this makes the climb into bed similar to being at home. There is a his and hers entrance to the bedroom, so you do not need to climb over each other.

Love that camper, but still wonder if I would have issues getting into and out of the bed? That's why we sold our Okanagan. My back did not like getting into the be on it. But then again it only had one side open. And no room along the side of the bed.
Were going to be in East Tn the end of next week. And just looked, its only 5 hours to the dealer in NC. May have to make a long day trip that Friday and go to Apex NC. And look at one in person.
I love the room of the Heartland Landmark we have now. But don't like leaving the boat at home. Where when we had the T/C it was always with us. If we don't make the trip from Kodiak Tn to see one. Hope we run up on one somewhere.

Beautiful camper!

I'm curious as to the height from the ground to the top of the AC when loaded on your truck. It looks pretty tall. My AF990 is just a couple of inches short of 12 feet when loaded. I wouldn't be comfortable with anything taller.

Enjoy!

I forgot to measure it on the truck but the specs on the camper is 9'-6" for the unit whatever the loaded truck bed height is. I guess somewhere around 11'-6" or a little more depending on whether the truck is 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive. I will measure next time it is loaded.

The Host is 6-12" taller than the Arctic Fox due to the higher floor. We chose the fireplace so we don't have to pull out the electric space heater when on hookups. Yes, we will be able to dance in our Host - No more free shows for the neighbors because we didn't have dance floor.

SidecarFlip, good thing you didn't have to pay for it! I do not intend to go offroad at all. This was a best fit for me travel and pull my bassboat to different lakes across the country.

You actually had me at the outside decals. Kidding, however the sizable investment is usually met with equal research comparing this camper to other like campers with their needs. We chose this camper 3 years ago over everything else we looked at and if you can sense a little buzz over the OP's excitement, it's because Host is a pretty innovative company that will customize your order and has great support in both the dealer network and also direct if needed.
I've had mine loaded up to 6,400 lbs for a trip spent on the Ca. coast if that answers a question you had. Our camper is pretty much loaded with options including electric log splitter for the fireplace.

He must be having a bad day.. I like the fireplace. Have one with remote control and different flame color settings in our Jayco TT. Warms up the TT too. I am a big fan of the Host Mammoth TC. Maybe next year? Lol

I think SidecarFlip is jealous and probably couldn't give a compliment if his life depended on it....
And to to call a beautiful camper "a barge" is an insult to anyone who owns one.
If you don't like it why post about anything?
I also like this new camper and hope the new owners are very excited! I sure would be.......
