So we recently purchased a 2013 KZ Sportsmen Classic 250S . The first day we had it we found out the slide was improperly adjusted as it had tore a piece of the floor when we slid it back in . Not excited !

Now Im having an issue with the roof I think . The AC seems to be the lowest point of the roof and it looks like the condensation is just pooling below the AC unit . I would have though this should be the high point so the water can drain off the edge , especially if it rains . I know there is a seal there but Im concerned of how long this seal will last with constant polling and rain collecting here . I am really not at all happy that we just spent the $$$ on a brand new trailer hoping to be able to use it with no worries and now it seems like we were better off with our 85 Coachman . At least with it I knew it was old and was prepared to have to work on it .

Anyone else have any issues with new KZ trailer or other brands ?

We owned a KZ Jag for 8 years. It was the entry level model and was pretty much trouble free. Towards the end things stopped working such as the stereo, TV cable, but no major components had issues.

My 02 KZ hybrid is awesome, no leaks anywhere. I think campers are like cars, you either get a good one or you don't, regardless of who builds it.

glad to know Im not alone but I still cant understand how these manufactures can get away with the poor QC standards that are obviously being implemented . I guess lemon laws dont apply to travel trailers ? I basically feel that even though my trailer is still in warranty I would be better off performing to repairs myself so I know they are done correctly and I am not without our trailer for extended periods of time .

I have 2010 KZ Sportsman and I have had numerous issues with my rig. Don't think I would buy another. In all fairness to KZ, my dealer went bankrupt in my first year of warranty and I had a hard time getting warranty work on a rig I didn't purchase from them.

I'm on my second KZ, both have been the most trouble free trailers I have ever owned.

Nock on wood, but I'm happy with my 2013 Classic 200. I'm not blown away by the quality of materials, everything is press-board and chip-board, at least the floor is real plywood. The AC works, and drains reasonably well, depending on how lazy I was when it came to leveling on the camp site. The fridge works really well, a setting of only 4 (9 being the coldest) keeps it at 34 deg inside. I'm a solo traveler, so 20ft of camper is plenty of room for me and the dog. If I had to share the space with someone else, there isn't really a place for another adult to sleep.

Sorry to hear about the issues with your new TT. Hopefully KZ will take care of the problems. We have KZ Spree, we love the floor plan and it has given us no problems. I hope it all works out for you.

Our KZ Durango 5W is our first RV and we have not had any issues so far. Everything has worked as it should and we love the floor plan. So far so good!

I used to have a 2009 KZ Sportsman 14RB and used it just as a little toy hauler and last resort shelter, the quality sucked always something going wrong with it. The 6k BTU A/C almost fell out of the wall. I sold it when I got my 5th wheel after getting my new truck. The little piece of******was too heavy to tow behind my 5th wheel. Too Bad it, was a decent for its use of a toy hauler, I couldn't imagine sleeping or even camping in one.

If you read various forums - you will see where QC in the RV industry is almost non-existent.....everyone has had some problem from minor to major with a new unit.

We purchased a 2013 Dutchmen Rubicon 2900 last October - we used it for our 3 week vacation, put it into winter storage the end of October with an almost 2 page list of items needing warranty work! This May, we camped and found more issues....June 10th we bought it to our dealer (we don't camp June & July) and just picked it up today (&/26) - I was told before we went that not all the issues have been addressed as the dealer is still waiting for parts to come in (windows, new mattress, new tub surround and tub pan) - so we will camp August, September & October and then bring it back it......so yes others have had the same issues! We looked at the KZ and did not like the "finish" of the TH - it was the 305 model - so we kept looking - Dutchmen does not have a good reputation, but it has what we were looking for - after looking at the 5er KZ - we decided we wanted a bumper pull, but it had to have a dedicated garage wall....so we went with the Rubicon! We'll make it into what we want and enjoy it!
