New Ram 3500 Pricing

I have a friend who has had enough of his Ram 2500. Its not the truck. He loves it. But the Momentum 388 behind it is making too many terrifying moments on the interstates.

I know what I paid for my Ford. So I have a general idea in helping him there. But what's a realistic Ram 3500 DRW going for these days after haggling and whatnot? I don't know the lines for Ram but I'd guess a comparable truck he's wanting would be something like a Lariat if it was a Ford.

"If I ever buy another truck, Michelin tires will be part of the deal."

I am re thinking my die hard stance on Michelins!

At 200 miles I dumped the NEXEN's and installed MS2's. First pic is with 35K front tires 15 Dually rotated side to side twice. Second pic is 11 Dually 38K same rotation. Air pressure always 80 both. NOT HAPPY!!!

Good on you for upgrading the tires; the factory tires are junk. It is one of the very few things I am not happy about with my truck.

If I ever buy another truck, Michelin tires will be part of the deal.

After talking with the dealer, he is actually ordering what he wants. The deal the dealer gave him with a trade-in was actually pretty good to him. But if he orders, he has time to sell his truck, there may be more rebates, and he gets exactly what he wants.

The trucks he's looked at don't have the auto leveling air bags so things like that he wants, he's sure to get. Dealer says an order right now should be here in July.

If that price is out the door, that's a pretty decent deal for a Laramie.

I just bought this 2017 Ram Tradesman 3500 dually. It is a 6.4 L gasser. After incentives I got it for $38,000.

IMO - screw the rebate BS - give me the truck at the lowest price you can - it shouldn't matter if you have some special qualification

Bottom line it DOES matter what price the truck can be sold at based on rebates at that time of delivery.

Good for you! Seems a bit high for a Laramie? Did you get it at invoice minus incentives? Does it have the AISIN?

Well, my friend made it home safely from Williamsburg yesterday. He said they never exceeded 60 all the way home. Most of the drive is I-95. 🙂

Anyway, he's going truck shopping Friday. I'll keep y'all posted.

I'm a Ford guy but I'm really excited for him. This is their first camper and they're loving RVing but trying to make that truck work has put a damper on the fun.

whats the deal with the "as low as" price - just curious?

Typical sales gimmick, advertising the lowest possible price to lure in more customers. To get that price though you need to qualify for all kinds of specific rebates... 3rd generation school teachers get $500 off, trading in a current model year competitors truck you get $250 off, being a left handed biological red headed child of Polish descent gets an additional $750 off, etc etc.

I don't think anyone actually qualifies for ALL the rebates... but in theory that truck could sell for "as low as" X dollars if you meet all the rebate criteria.

Check Dennis Dillon's website. Ignore the "as low as" price but the other quoted price is what they sell for no questions asked. Try to get a local dealer to match or if not have him buy a plane ticket and come on out - they'll pick him up at the airport.
