I was ready to post this and it came pack ERROR thread has been closed.

"I have always said to ignore the people that side track a thread as it happens, i know I have gone off topic before also. BUT maybe a PM between these two would save a lot of scanning to get to the next post.

Really hate to see this one get closed as it's a good topic for people interested in a new truck."

SOOOO let's keep this going AND as close to on topic as possible. ๐Ÿ˜‰

FYI, I found out what is different from the "updated" CP4 from the older failure prone one. Apparently it is longer stroke cam and does not have to work as hard(build up as much heat) as the the older one. It is also now technically called a CP4-27/2 meaning CP4 design, max 2,700 bar(39,000 psi), 2 piston. The 39,000 max psi is a lot more than the 29,000-30,000 psi the new 6.7L is utilizing.

How long has this pump been in production?

This is the same updated pump used in the Cummins ISV5.0(introduced in 2013), 2015+ 6.7L Powerstroke, and various other diesels like my 2014 BMW 328D.

All this talk had me looking online at what's available locally. Our RAM dealer has more than 50 2018 2500's and about 35 2018 3500's in stock. On one of the locally popular online selling sites he has them mostly at $12K off sticker.

I may count myself lucky that I'm not in a position to buy a new truck yet.

Best regards,
Chris

Here's a towing chart for the 2500-3500. You can see what combos are available for each truck.

I get "Site cannot be reached" ๐Ÿ˜ž

Yeah I can't get it to post on here. Sorry.

FYI, that is because the link is to a file downloaded on your hard drive, not to an internet location.

LMAO... It's "Dad's" file on his local C: drive.

Nice post, you're a jewel

One thing I think will be a good option is the headlights that turn I think up to 15 degrees. Nice to see where you are going around a corner.

The light's maybe good, but the pumpkin brown longhorn interior just looks bad and I love brown interiors when done right. Of course my current truck has a brown interior.

Last night I stalked the Dodge dealer to check out the Longhorn interior package. That sucked since I had to park a block away, as to not be caught looking at Ram pickups by my friends who might happen to drive by (cant let Marty get too bored today). I would concur that interior is painful to look at in brown/orange. I cant stomach the brown/burnt orange in the High County either. My wife has a brown interior on her '16 GMC SLT, and I like it, but it only takes the inclusion of some form of orange to tip the scale the other way for me.
