I wish Tesla would make a car size battery that would last a year without recharging. That would be sweet huh?

I would think Tesla will get into the 12 and 24 volt batteries sooner or later. Certainly there is already a market for Lithium batteries for the RV industries. They are not even that badly priced....and very light.

I think he means "last a year without charging while in normal daily use", not sitting on a shelf.

Most AGM batteries will last a year without recharging, self discharge is only a percent or so per month.
