Northwood MFG Vinyl Trim Insert issues

has anyone dealt with their plastic trim on either Arctic Fox or Wolf Creek cracking and falling apart so fast? The plastic trim on my wolf creek is literally falling on the ground and cracking everywhere. My camper is only 2 years old and that seems pre mature to have to replace all the trim.

can anyone recommend a trim that will not fall apart so quickly and not turn yellow?

looking on amazon I found thistrim clicky but it looks like the same stuff Northwood uses.

I'm thinking it has to do with a lot of the cold-weather camping we've done and the fact where I live temps get in the high 90's are causing the premature failure.

I think the standard is not very good for temperature changes. The trim on my Host made it a few years, but it always was loose compared to what I have now.

I replaced mine with extra thick material. I don't think it will ever come out, but it's also hard to install without a screen roller and some finess.

On my 2009 arctic Fox 811 i had to replace all of the screw covering white trim about 4 years after purchase as the exact same thing happened as you describe. I replaced it with the same camco stuff you put in the link and it seemed higher quality then what the camper came with when new. (softer feeling, more like rubber?) Sold it last year so i cant comment on how long it lasts, but it did hold up for 2 years and was still soft and rubbery.

I replaced sections on my 5th wheel that had shrunken out of the track on the inside radius. Don't stretch it when you replace. Very easy but surprised it's happened so soon.

Seems odd to fail so soon. I think the bolt cover is pretty much industry standard though, doubt you will find anything more durable but if you do, please share. Mine is a year old this month and looks new still...
