There is nothing like early season camping. Chilly temps a cool wind. A beautiful view. And as always the few things that you forget to bring on the first trip. My 2 yr old has been asking for this trip since December. I love this. Will post pictures wen I am not on my tablet.

I want to go camp on the coast some day. I have always wanted to camp on the beach where you could hear the ocean.

Our first trip this year was a week at the coast in Feb. We spent last week at a nearby lake, weather was in the mid 70's - shorts and T-shirt. Planning a two week trip to the southern Oregon coast after Easter.

Majja, I see you are from SLC, mind if I ask where you went? I am, always looking for good early season locations. We took our first trip a couple weeks ago, 25 at night was a little low, but it was a great time none the less. We are headed out again next weekend (unknown location) and then the next weekend headed down to Zion.

Yuba State park. Temps have been decent it was 64 yesterday just windy as a storm is coming in this afternoon. So I do not think we will be hanging out to much this morning.

We have been out twice already, and would have been 3 if it weren't for the excessive rain this weekend.

The shorter the time the TT spends in storage the better.

We're out and about this weekend too. Beautiful weather at Pueblo Reservoir, CO. Chilly at night, no problems though.

We went winter camping this year so not the first trip for us, first one with bikes though.

The beginning of this month I took my first early season trip of the year. I left after work on a Friday. It was snowing like crazy. But I wasn't too worried because it had been in the 50's and 60's for about 2-3 weeks. So I leave work it is snowing but the roads were just wet. When I got about half way to Chatfield Res. It had started getting a little slushy and I was a little concerned. But anyway I made it there and found a spot and had a fantastic time. I woke up to about 1 1/2 inches of snow on the grass with the sun shining. It was a great weekend even though my furnace went out on me. Luckily I had purchased one of those electric fireplaces for the trailer and it did a bang up job. Hopefully I can do it again before the crowds start getting large.

Snowing here in Ohio again tonight. 😞

We did run out in the minivan to visit a nearby state park campground that I have been meaning to maybe use for a closeby weekend getaway type of place.

26 days till our first official camping of the year. Can't wait.

We have usually had two camping trips already but this year has started out a little slow. It has been one thing or another but we have a four nighter scheduled the middle of April. Can't wait to get going again, been a long winter.

I wish I could have gotten out today the temps are plenty warm. I even checkd out one of the local campgrounds and there was one person there out camping in a old 14 foot canned ham type TT. But, it snowed on Thursday and I live on a gravel road. It's soooo sloppy I can hardly even get down the road with my pickup. And, I ate a friends cooking last week and I'm ; shall we say; at bit out of sorts now. Because the bathrooms are all still locked and I don't want to de-winterize my TT yet I'm stuck at home Sucks.

My family just did our first camping trip up here in eastern WA. with our new Coleman tt turned out good. Was a little cold but between the campfire and the furnace we stayed pretty warm. We did stay close to home here in Spokane, we just went about 8 miles away to Riverside State Park and had a great site along the Spokane River. All in all it was fun and a succesful trip.
