parting out a truck camper

Has anyone parted one out and junked the rest?
Just wondering if it will be a pain to get rid of the main body of the camper or if its relatively easy to tear it apart, not sure what questions to ask.
I have not seen it up close (just from the road) the guy who owns it says the jacks will probably work to get it loaded but the number of up and downs are numbered. He says it pretty wobbly. He also says he fixed some water damage in the bedroom area. He didn't know what worked what didn't work, or even what brand camper it is. Just wants it gone.
Son in law has a Lance camper and so do I, so maybe some extra parts would be a good thing.
Any comments or ideas, would be appreciated.

You guys who have a "dump" sure are lucky. No such place around here. Landfills don't take private refuse.

The best I can do is rent a dumpster from my garbage service. $300 for the smallest dumpster.

Ok, well we went over to look at the camper close up, YEOW it was messed up, TONS of water damage. The hydraulic jacks were messed up, did not look to be holding pressure nor were they attached to the camper all that well. We will be passing on this one. I didn't dig deep enough to figure out what brand it was, it was not Lance, it didn't have any branding of any kind.

I helped my neighbor part & scrap his old truck camper. It was easy selling the appliances, lites etc,. We took the aluminum siding for scrap and hauled the wood away. It was a real eye opener to see how they are thrown together by the factory

I pulled the range and fridge out of one before i junked it years ago. The fridge is still in the corner of a shed, but the range is installed in our goose pit so we can cook breakfast after we get the decoys out.

From the road it looks to be a Lance, just couldn't tell for sure, I will see maybe tomorrow, but you are right there will have to be something very good in this camper to make it worth the time messing with it.

If it's an old, no name camper it's not worth your time dismantling it. I cannot think of a single system that would be worth saving unless there was some brand new system installed. If so, take that out and take the rest to the dump.
About a decade ago I was driving down Tuna Canyon Road in Sunland, CA, a rather remote area as L.A. is not, when I spied 3 people pulled over at a small hiking trailhead parking area hovering around an ancient camper on a too small pickup. They looked suspicious to me as they were removing the tie downs. I think they had a piece of rope tied to a tree and the old TC and just drove off, as on my return up Tuna Cyn. Rd. I saw the old TC crumpled up along the side of the parking area. It sat there for a couple months and eventually some city refuse crew removed it.
