Harness is a given. So $265 for pucks is a bargain. Mor importantly a MUCH better attachment system.
Thanks Chris!

It would not be a deal breaker if I found the right truck without it. Itโs pretty simple to install a B&W gooseneck in a Ram without a fifth wheel prep package.
Thanks!

My truck has the factory prep but I already had the Companion so I removed the factory gooseneck and put my old turnover ball out of my other truck back in.
The Companion won't work with the factory gooseneck connection?
Nope! Andersen will however!

I would do the pucks over the GN prep unless you plan to haul a GN trailer.
My thought was to just buy a standard companion with the B&W hitch. It does sound nice having just one hole in the middle of the bed vs 5 for the fifth wheel/gooseneck prep package.
Can you get the Ram with only the pucks or do you have to have the gooseneck as well?
The footprint of the Ram pucks is by far the most stable looking as wide as it is.
Thanks!

Yes, if you do it yourself. It took me 4.5 hours working by myself. Two people could do in much faster. Chris
