I got my billet aluminum cap with o-ring gasket from amazon for $15. I didn't like the idea of dust or moisture getting in my tank. I figured $15 was really cheap insurance to avoid a contaminated tank.

The door has a soft rubber seal that does a good job of sealing the dust out. I'm thinking their test was done with the door open. I do think it's a good idea for sure. I use the Mopar cap that comes on the EcoDiesel trucks.
Hi, I'm Nicole from the Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZUUWSVDrTI
The video was shot after I drove out to my farm and back, approximately 62 miles. The fuel door was closed the entire time I was driving. When you're going down dirt and gravel roads the rubber seal on the fuel door does not keep the dust out. The EZ-Loc does.
I've run with my EZ-Loc since April and even installed a DEF-Loc when those came out. Since then, my green plastic diesel filler neck is nice and clean inside.

I am not at all concerned with fuel loss. It's fuel contamination and injection system damage.
