Hey All,

Anyone else experience their mechanical corner jacks feeling bound up? Without a load, when I crank up or down I feel a bunch of resistance on it. I took the top cap off and the main gears appear normal. When I turn the crank, the first 2 revolutions feel like there's no engagement, then high resistance.

I lubed as general maintenance but rotating the lower leg back in line with the groove was easy.

Mine offer enough resistance that my 12v cordless drill REALLY drags if I try to lift it off the truck (so I use the hand cranks, instead) But the hand cranks turn easily enough, IMO.

This is a mechanical jack. But thanks for the advice. I'll try disassembling it and see what I can do.

Did you completely remove the powerhead? If you turn it using the 3/8 ratchet attachment point it will feel somewhat "tight". This is because you are also turning the gears and motor.

Detach the entire powerhead and try turning the shaft. If it still binds you can back it out and lube it.
