Did some research & need more info.... well, tonight checked oil in my ram dually and another nest started with alfalfa leaves... 2 months ago a squirrel got under vehicle and my dog went nuts and cost me 180 dollars for repairs. now with fall coming their will be more rodents wanting to move in... haven't had much troubles b/4.. in house we use ultra sonic for mice and haven't had one since installed....... WHAT experience for repelling has worked for you all.... all RV's have a potential issue......

Tried some cab fresh from tractor supply. Seemed to work but a little expensive so now I'm trying moth balls. Just don't put them near an air intake!

I use Tomcat bait chunks in the trailer shed and tractor barn. Put them up high enough a dog can't reach. One of my trucks is always in the tractor barn out of the sun.
I had a issue with a pack rat family some years back. I left a radio plugged in 24/7 to a head beater station. No more issues any pests.

I use a mouse trap just inside the 5th wheel trailers door baited with peanut butter. I'm always around the barns so I check it every couple of days.

Both barns have a hay meadow along the back side. Both are open one side so owls also do a good job on rats/mice.

We've tried several things to deter rodents. The only thing that has worked consistently and completely is putting a shop light under the hood. I plug it in with an extension cord over to my carport and a dusk to dawn timer. When we are on an RV road trip, we leave one car in the carport. I do the same thing for it, but I just lay the shop light on the ground under the engine.

I took this one step further, I installed a strip of cut to length LED lights around the inside of the engine compartment. The plug is on the right side of the bumper, and plug in ever time I get out of the truck.

A good mouse trap is a good solution; no dead mice hidden in the vehicle... No repeat customer either...

I watch a channel on youtube called Shawn Woods. Heโ€™s tested a lot of different repellents, and the best only reduced the activity.

I think youโ€™d be better off catching them and lowering the population.
