Solved: Help with Jayco screen door slider replacement

I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out where I can get replacement screen door sliders for my 2012 Jayco 32BHDS. I've spent countless hours trying to find a replacement and nothing looks similar to what I have :h

Dimensions are roughly 8.5H x 7.25W with a cutout for the screen door handle and looks like this:

Door:

Slider:

None of the "retrofits" will fit.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Finally found replacements. Unfortunately, a simple plexiglass solution or modifying a generic slider wouldn't work due to the unique way the doors are constructed. Ended up going the dealer route and a bit pricey, but at least I found replacements. Thank you all for your help.

I know the pain as I looked for a couple three years for a replacement slider for my Discovery Motor Home. Camping World, internet and the major players in AZ with no luck. I was in a little out of the way dealer in Oregon and guess what they had one in stock. It came from a wholesaler in Idaho. I never knew they made so many different sizes. Think the part wholesaler was A-Z.
Keep looking as it is out their somewhere.

Check the Camping World catalog. We replaced the slider in our ROO HTT with a clear one rather than the white and liked it a lot better. DH did have to do some trimming. Jayco may be able to give you the brand name and model #...Ebay has a zillion things you wouldn't expect to find related to RVs and you might find it there or just try Googling the info.

I may have to call Jayco direct. The dealers in this are have been no help. Figured someone here would have some insight. I've picked up some good tips, tricks, and sourcing issues (and some bad) here. I've done everything that I could before asking the question.

FYI, Jayco won`t sell it to you. Only through a dealer.

We didn't notice the sliding panel on the door was missing on our new TT until we got it home. Rather than make the 3-hr round trip to the dealer I went to a big box store, got a piece of .100" Lexan, and cut a new slider.

Call Jayco with your trailer's V.I.N. and ask the CSR if he/she can provide the part number for that door slider. Assuming it's still an available part any authorized Jayco dealer can then order it for you from Jayco. The suggestion that you should expect any dealer to have this part in stock or even know what it is illustrates just how little so many understand about how the recreational vehicle industry works. If you want an original Jayco part only an authorized Jayco dealer can order it for you and only if it's still a current part in Jayco's inventory. Much of what dealership parts departments stock is in fact third party, purchased from wholesale distributors and while they do their best to stock the most common items it's not unusual at all for some parts specific to particular makes / models of trailers to not be part of the parts product lineup. The reality is that the dealer may simply not have it because the particular wholesalers they deal with don't handle that specific part. Remember also that while your trailer's V.i.N. is invaluable for identifying the correct part number from the trailer manufacturer no dealer has this V.I.N. list and will only have to contact the factory on your behalf anyway. If it's a third party part you're looking for then a V.I.N. serves no useful purpose at all.

Thank you. Tried that and they are clueless. I actually drove 4 hours round trip today to try another dealer (mind you I did have a reason to go that way) and they were of no help. Tried 2 prime dealers in the area and nothing. Figured someone around here has run into the same situation.

Always looking for a cheaper solution, but it looks like I'll be paying premium for a piece of plastic. Unfortunately, no, I can't modify anything to fit.

can you cut one of the retrofits down a little to make it work.. yes I know they are expensive, but buying s "standard" size and trimming might be less than getting one the exact size you need.

Maybe you could call Jayco and they could provide a source. I know my dealer has ordered directly from Jayco for some things.

Tough crowd. Guess everyone lives next door to an RV dealership "worth their salt". I've respected this site and the input of most, but I'm at a loss here and need to replace the screen door sliders and would like to without having to drive 1-2 hrs to and RV dealership or parts store to see if hey can find them for me, hence why I would rather order them online. I will try to upload the pics again and see if it works, but thank you for your input Old Guy.
