You are one of the main reasons I recently ordered an 'almost TC', a Tiger TX 4X4. It was clear to me that you guys have more fun than do other RVers. Thanks for inspiring me! I wanted a single unit and would not be taking the camper off the truck, anyway, so I went for the Tiger. See you on the (less traveled) road. 🙂

Tiger inventory is at the link. Small Class Cs don't work for me, but people like them, or they wouldn't sell them. The ones at the link including used ones are mid 90s to 150s. I didn't look at all of them.

I saw a 34ft Class C Thor built on a regular cab Ford on YouTube last night. They said it was great for off road since it was 4x4. Maybe, but good luck turning it around on the roads I frequent. I'm sure it could turn on most logging roads, but it had more length than the Class A I owned.

A cross between that Thor and the Tigers might be cool. As it is, I still need a pickup bed from time to time.

Interesting. To get the pricing I had to access the factory website too. A basic looking, plain jane unit nearly 2-years old is $100K there. The base unit uses the Chevrolet 8.1 gas engine @ $116K plus ANY options, and up to $4,500.00 for delivery charges, plus Tax, title, and licensing in the owner's home state. The factory website really makes you have to probe and search several pages and drop-down boxes to get to their price list(s) however, they're the only reliable source for pricing them out anyway.

I can tell you that mine will not cost $150K. Some of their models cost in that range but not the TX nor the CX. Not that I owe an explanation but I don't want to discourage anyone from buying one. If you want to look at their actual prices, go to their website.

A class C on steroids & 4wd!:C

Just like my 4x4 Dodge and Lance camper but about $150,000 more, I don't get it

A lot of people like the Class C design with cab access to the RV. Add in 4wd and other engineering to make a Class C off-road capable and now you have a Tiger, Earthroamer, GlobalXvehicles, etc. ... and like you said, add another $150k or so.

Many of us would love to have one. It's more than your Dodge 4x4 and Lance or my Dodge 4x4 and camper too, and like you I'll probably never own one either. If you get a chance, you should go to the Overland Expo and see them in person.

Joe, why should people tell you the price of their rigs?

I talked with Tiger recently. Their base price is $116,000 for the gashog 8.1 Chevy. Any and ALL upgrades/options drive the price Up from there. Delivery and TTL are of course on top of this base price. $130,000 to $150,000 easy, if upgrading with options. That's hard to justify for a TC. I was wondering why the owners don't like to mention what they cost here.
