How long of time to install air bags?

I've searched and can't find a thread where people posted how long they took to install their air bags.

If you installed your own, how long did it take you?

It took me an hour per side to install Firestone's on my F250. It would have taken less time if the axle stop was not stubborn and I didn't replace the soft bracket hardware with Grade 5. No drilling or cutting was required for my installation although I did cut down the long mounting bolts for lower air bag perches.

PacBrake.

I see your from WA. So am I.

I won't have far to go (Blaine) if any problems or parts in future.
Reason for going with them was I have their exhaust brake and was impressed with them. I actually had a problem with their exhaust brake and they jumped right on it. Not only made it right but followed up a week later to make problem was solved. Gave me indication of their customer service.

Have you considered Timbrens?

I had Firestone air bags on my '07 Ram 3500 SRW

Currently have Timbrens on my 2500HD.

I prefer the Timbrens

Thanks for the input.

This is a simple, nothing special air bag system.

Reason for asking:

I'm a back yard DYI guy that seems to take twice as long to get anything done.

Trying to get a feel for how long most people take, and I'll double it. Have weekend trip coming up and don't want to cancel if I screw up. (Which screwing up never happens to anybody right?)

Depends on the kit and the level of options you wish

Dash mounted controls? Controls for independent left and right?

On board compressor?

Simple with a valve 'back' there for a bicycle pump?

I am cursed on this type of stuff...always want to change (improve) the kit...

Took about 2 hours, and that included running the air lines a couple times until I was happy with the placement.

If you buy a vehicle specific kit, its ridiculous how easy it is. They have a mount that goes over your axle and requires 4 bolts to secure, then a mount to the frame rail and another 4 bolts. The bags sit in between. You install the air fitting on both sides of the line and run the line where you want.

Took me about 1.5 to 2 hrs to install bags on my 08 F150. I ran one line that I needed to drill a hole for near the license plate. I installed the Firestone Ride Rites. Hardest part was on the passenger side trying to work around the muffler.
