Time to Install New Tires - Evergreen Brand?

vwsportbug

I have to install 6 new tires on my tow vehicle within the next month or two and the best deal I've found is on a brand called "Evergreen" which I've never heard of before. Does anyone have any experience with this tire manufacturer? Are their tires any good? I'm sure they are made in China but the price is $300 lower than for any other brand (so $50 each).

Please respond only if you have any actual experience with this tire brand.

Thanks

Oh man! I'm the original poster here on this thread and I really didn't want to get FLAMED which is why I requested only responses from people with some actual experience.

I'm like everybody else - I will do my "due diligence" before I buy a new unknown brand. I recall my father buying Michelin tires back in the '60's when no one had ever heard of them either! Every company starts somewhere and this company could be the next Michelin for all I know (or, it seems, anyone else on here knows).

If I don't get good reports on these tires, I won't be buying them so please don't try to lecture me from your high horse about something you know nothing about!

X2 on the XPS Ribs or other quality E rated tires. Goodyear G614's would be even better if your wheels are rated to 110.

One way to look at it is a problem with an off-brand tire will cost you more than $300! I mean, $300 is only a couple tanks of fuel in that dually! Save up an extra week or month or cancel a trip and there's your $300.

Like others have mentioned, tires isn't a great place to go super budget.

In my opinion based upon a year of research on RV and truck forums the best tire is the Michelin XPS Ribs. I read very few problems with the tires and most posts indicated the tires provided more than expected miles of serivice. Many of the folks who posted indicated they were on their 2nd and 3rd sets because they had such good luck with the previous sets (these were folks that use their trucks to haul loads daily around the country).

I bought a set for the rear of my dually and for my 5th wheel 2 years ago...no problems.

They are more expensive but I feel the value comes from the safety and the tires will last longer.

Probably no one has experience with these tires...Tires like these come and go almost weekly. They sell a bunch of them until the reputation catches up and then they change the name (re-brand) and sell a bunch more until the reputation (bad) catches up again.

Next week, these same tires will be called, "LastforEvers" or something similar.

You have probably close to $100,000 wrapped up in your rig...$300 extra for decent, reputable tires is chump change.

I'm with NC here, you never go cheap on tires....EVER. Since you are most likely not going to get any feed back on these tires I did the work for you CLICK HERE can't find anything on their HD or E rated tires but their P rated tires are not rated very well.

Spend the extra $50 per tire and get real tires rated to carry your load.
