I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 LT that use to pull my TT. Looking for suggestions for quality tires for my truck. Not really interested in Chinese products.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Whatever you choose be sure it's a "D" or "E" load range.

Look up the axle rating then pick a "Load Index Rating" that meets or exceeds the axle rating.

Load E can have a variety of actual load ratings. The letter grades are an old system from the days when they added extra plys to the tire to make it stronger. The more plys the further into the alphabet the letter grade went.

Modern tires don't add plys. They change the steel in the tire without adding plys.

Load Index Rating gives you the actual capability in pounds.

And yet, any tire in an applicable size for any of the common rim sizes on that truck will have a Load Index that is somewhere between adequate at the very worst case and overkill. Most will be overkill.

Another Michelin fan but I went with the AGILIS CROSSCLIMATE. Really like them.

Both the Michelins and Coopers have given me very good service. LT load range E, of course. That said, this has been discussed hundreds of times on the forum if you use the search function.

Add falken, Toyo and Nitto to the good list.

Ask a vague question, get vague answers.

And Cooper, bfg, Firestone, Goodyear, Pro Comp, Mickeys and Hankooks are good tires too….
Point being, get some tires that are suited for your traction needs and make them D or E load if for no other reason, they’ll outlast the comparable light duty tires by more than the extra $20 a tire that they cost.

Usually buy the off brands. Always have gotten good mileage out (40-50k miles) of them and never had a blow out or other issue.

Just make sure the load rating is sufficient to meet or exceed the axle ratings.

Then you have the question of tread type (highway vs off road) but that depends greatly on how you intend to use it.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Best tire I've ever run on a truck, and they hold up to an HD diesel. I think they'd be great on a half ton too.

I,ve run Cooper AT3. Had them one set on my previous truck and two sets on this one.
First two sets were D rated really liked them. Latest set is "e" just because they were in stock. These also perform like a champ, just a bit stiffer.
I have no argument with Michelins, But they are like John Deere or Kubota,a superior product, but not by enough to rate the premium that is charged.

I have been running Michelin Defenders for years. I won't have anything else; I've tried them all. A little more expensive but after trying the others, I always came back to Michelins.
