Toliet Flush Pedal - Issue or Design?

In my 2008 Keystone trailer, my toilet flush pedal lifted up to fill with water and down to flush it all away. On my 2015 Keystone 30RIPR it only presses down to flush it away. Is this a random issue with my toilet or did they really take away the filling feature on the flush pedal?

Make / model of trailer is irrelevant, make / model of toilet is what we need to know. That said, I don't know of any foot flush toilet on which you'd lift the foot pedal to introduce water into the bowl :h ... rather, you'd depress it slightly to fill the bowl or completely to open the flush valve so the bowl contents would drop into the BW holding tank below.
There out there and quite common. All depends on make and model.

Our 2006 Sunline TT had one, lift up to fill, depress to flush.

In my old Keystone, you lifted the pedal slightly to add water to bowl. However, in my current FR Salem, you push the pedal down slightly to add water, so I've seen it both ways.

Pressing partially seems to be the consensus between here and the Keystone forum. I'll have to try that again, but I swear the last time it didn't work.

I rented a motorhome once and it was the same as my 08 trailer where the pedal lifted up to fill and pressed down to flush. That's why I was thrown off when I got this one and tried to lift up and nothing happened.

I don't know the make/model of toilet, so I decided to provide the trailer model in case someone else had the same trailer which in turn would most likely have the same toilet. I'd go check, but it's in storage and wasn't worth the drive over there.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I've tried pushing it halfway in the past, but if I remember correctly as soon as I pressed down even a little on the pedal the valve started to open. I'll try it again next time I use it, but I'm pretty sure I've tested that int he past and it didn't work. Seemed odd to me that it didn't have a fill option.

I posted on the Keystone forum as well. I'll report back if I get an answer there.
