any thin shackle lock can be cut in seconds with your run of the mill bolt cutter. You can't get the head of one of those to the shaft of a torklift lock. its going to take a saw, grinder or freon and sledge to remove.

I purchased a set of Tork Lift fastgun locks when I was buying everything else for our setup. The fastguns are great, not as fond of the locks. They take two hands to lock/unlock and they add another key to the key ring. After changing my compartment locks to match my entry door key, I ditched the fastgun locks in favor of longer shackle master padlocks. You can order most any size lock and shackle length from McMaster Carr that are keyed alike. I have just three keys now for everything. About ten padlocks, the camper key and the truck key. Also, on my GMC the fuel door is partially blocked by the fastgun. I can open the padlock with one hand while swiping my CC or opening the fuel door, removing the cap, etc. with the other hand, which is not possible with the Tork Lift locks.

........I bought a dozen keyed alike for small things like :, anchors, oars, rowboat trailer spare, etc.... and of course my fastguns. I also carry a couple of coated bicycle cables just to keep "em" honest.

Most likely any theft of your FastGuns will be for scrap value of the metal. The people stealing them typically don't take them to use on their camper or risk reselling them.

LOL. "honest thieves"

Oxymoron.

Thieves aren't honest, otherwise they wouldn't be thieving stuff (to pay for their drug habit)

I don't think those will fit through the hole on the fast gun. I would look for some with a 5/16" diameter shackle, without the plastic covering.

I hadn't locked one of my Fastgun locks properly and the bottom fell off. I just use a Master lock in there now. When traveling, I put a locking pin in the Fastgun that blocks the gas fill port so I don't have to unlock it every time I gas up. I put the Master lock in there when I stop for the the night or for a longer period of time.

I've got them only because they were part of the deal. If I were starting from scratch I would just do a combination padlock. I don't need another key to keep up with.

For longer trips where we might be in a city or away from the camper for some period of time, we use the locks. For short weekend trips where we will be with the camper for the majority of the time, we leave them off.... convenience thing. I think you would need to know what they are and what their value is in order for someone to "want" them

That's what I did. They work every bit as well and were much cheaper.

I also use them on my FastGuns but I'm sure that something like Master Locks would work just as well and be a lot cheaper.

I bought a set of locks with my Fastguns. Didn't like them. They come apart into two pieces when unlocked so, to keep from losing a part, I always kept them locked together when removed from the Fastguns. Thus, had to unlock them before putting them back on. A minor issue but add that to the fact that several of the little rubber caps that snap over the keyhole broke off and it was enough to make me switch to a set of padlocks. You just have to find some with long skinny shanks.
