We just got a travel trailer! Really excited but would like to hire someone to help with some initial setup. Where do I find such a handyman in Golden, Colorado?

When we were in Golden mid September we needed a mobile repair done and the RVPark recommended Golden Mibile RV Repair. I would use them again and was really happy with the work they did. We are camping this weekend and don't have the number with me. I'm sure you can google it, if not I'll get it if you let me know

If you are going seasonal at a campground, there is probably a handyman or the like that campers use for decks etc that can help you out. Hopefully when you picked up the trailer they went over all the systems with you.

I'd recommend a quick search here or on YouTube for specific questions or a Mobile RV Tech if you just want someone to help in person.

I live in Golden and the place I store my trailer recommended:

Sturns Mobile RV Repair, Bob
720-505-7300

I talked with him once but ended up not needing him. Don't know if he's certified but a phone call is free. Talk with him and see if he knows about what you need done.

Skirting?
Are you setting this up on a seasonal site? Some folks install skirting when they intend to use the camper during the winter. This skirting can be anything from sheets of insulation board from Lowe's or Home Depot, to bales of straw stacked up under the perimeter of the camper. Even then, skirting is something you want to mess with only if you are going to be in one spot for any length of time.

The manuals that came with out TT were really helpful in guiding us on how to use the appliances/battery hook ups/furnace/water heater/converter etc

You can get all the users manuals on line not. Look for the manufacturer/model # = 99% are Atwood/Dometic

Getting level is kind of simple - use a spirit level on the floor of the camper and adjust as required. Use the tongue jack to lift the front then use the jacks in each corner to stabilize the camper.

This is really easy stuff; It takes me about 15 mins to set up my TT each time we camp.

Look for a mobile RV tech. Check with campgrounds and ask them for recomendstions.
